Special Educational Needs
Fourlanesend is a mainstream primary school with an inclusive ethos. Our vision is to be a forward looking creative community school providing our children with an outstanding education and developing in them personal qualities to enable them to thrive within a changing world.
All the teachers at Fourlanesend are teachers of children with special educational needs. As such we adopt a whole school approach to special educational needs which involves all the staff adhering to a model of good practice. We take into account children’s varied life experiences and needs, providing equal opportunities for all children, to ensure that every child really does matter.
The SEND Report, School Offer and SEND Policy explain in more detail what we are able to offer our children, how we identify their need and subsequently support them, how we monitor their progress and how we aim to include parents/carers in the process. The ‘FLE Provision Map’ shows, at a glance, the range of support and/or interventions that are available.
