The penultimate week of 2022 in Lynher and it's been another busy one! We have finished our history unit creating poems, stories and drawings to show the importance of the Kingsand Clock Tower to the community. We also finished our RE unit on Islam and looked at how many Muslims had moved into Cornwall from an Islamic country and how life is similar or different for them here.
On Wednesday we had our Christmas performances and these were a success - thank you for supporting us with the show.
We have been completing our multiplication and division units in maths for year 5 and converting measurements in year 6. Finally we have been making paper chains to decorate our classroom for our final week before Christmas.

What a busy week it has been! On Monday we were rehearsing our Christmas play and perfecting our violin performance ready for next week. On Tuesday we had visitors come to speak to us about aspirations and careers, they included: an architect turned priest, a colonel in the army, an ITV lead engineer and an accountant who handles a budget of 150 million pound! On Wednesday we walked to the Kingsand clock tower and learnt more about the history of it, building on our knowledge of how and why its uses have changed over time. On Thursday we enjoyed learning about voltage and took part in circuits in Science. Finally we finished today with the Christmas Fayre!
